Yes. Most jewelry can be made in a variety of metal types and colors. We will contact the designer to confirm the price and availability of your request.

Yes. If you would like your jewelry modified or ordered in a special size, we can usually do so. Depending on the style of the piece, additional charges may apply. Please contact us with specific requests.

Our engagement ring settings are sold without the center stone. Each setting is shown with a center diamond, but it can be made for any shape or size diamond, and the center stone is sold separately.

Prefer a ring that is complete and ready to wear? Our Ready To Go natural diamond engagement rings as well as our Ready To Go lab grown diamond engagement rings come with the center diamond already set.

Schedule an appointment at our Garden City showroom for a complimentary diamond education with one of our diamond experts. They will guide you through the selection process and curate a collection of diamonds for you to choose from, natural or lab-grown.

Yes. We keep an extensive inventory of natural and lab-grown diamonds in our Garden City showroom, available to view any time during store hours.

Fingers change size throughout the day and not all ring sizers are the same, so sizing is more of an art than a science. Visit our store and one of our professionals will accurately size your finger. If you are keeping it a surprise, bring in a ring the recipient wears on the appropriate hand and we will tell you its size.

Natural diamonds formed deep in the Earth over millions of years and are mined, then cut and polished. Lab-grown diamonds are created in a laboratory using a diamond's seed. They differ in origin and are priced differently, and our diamond experts can explain how each fits your priorities and budget.

Yes. We offer natural and lab-grown diamonds as separate choices, and every diamond is clearly identified as one or the other. Shop online with our natural diamond search or lab-grown diamond search, or visit our Garden City showroom to compare both side by side in one visit. Please note that we offer lab grown diamonds only as the center stone in an engagement ring. They are not available in any other piece of jewelry that we sell.

Yes, for natural diamonds purchased from H.L. Gross & Bro. You may trade in the natural diamond from your engagement ring for a 100% credit of the original purchase price toward any new diamond that costs at least 100% more than your original diamond. The diamond must be in its original condition, free of chips or scratches, and come with its original laboratory report. Lab-grown diamonds are not eligible. Diamonds purchased elsewhere, or upgrades that do not meet the price requirement, are evaluated individually. Read the full Diamond Trade-Up Policy.

Yes. Our associates help couples choose wedding bands for comfort, metal and style, including bands that complement an engagement ring bought from us or elsewhere. Bring the engagement ring with you if you can so we can match its proportions and metal color.

Yes. We carry a wide selection of men's wedding bands, with and without diamonds, as well as women's wedding rings, eternity rings and stackable rings.

The original battery in your watch can last up to 5 years before it needs to be replaced. Replacement batteries generally last 12 to 18 months.

Your watch will usually tell you when it needs service: it may stop, run fast or slow, or feel different when you wind the crown. If you are unsure, bring it in and we will assess it and give you a repair estimate. Learn more about watch repair and servicing your Rolex.

In-stock jewelry may be returned for a full refund or exchanged within 14 days of purchase, as long as it is unused and in its original condition with its original box, warranty and gemstone documentation.

New Rolex and Rolex Certified Pre-Owned watches are final sale. Engagement rings and wedding bands are made to order and cannot be refunded or exchanged unless purchased directly from our display case with no modifications. Sale items, fashion rings in sizes below 5 or above 7, special orders, layaways more than 60 days old and any modified or customized piece are not eligible. See our full Returns & Exchanges policy.

Yes. Under our Lifetime Ring Guarantee, if a problem is caused by a manufacturing defect, we repair it free of charge. If it was caused by normal wear and tear or trauma to the ring, you pay only for the materials needed for the repair. You can bring your ring in for unlimited prong tightening, cleaning and inspection. Your first resizing is on us, as is one polish and rhodium plating per year.

The center diamond is not covered by the guarantee, so we recommend insuring your ring against loss, breakage and theft.

Yes. Every piece you buy from us comes with a complimentary "spa membership." Bring in your engagement ring, wedding band, diamonds or fashion jewelry at any time for a full-service cleaning and inspection, and we will recommend any repairs or preventive maintenance needed. Every repair is different, and the labor and materials needed depend on several factors. All repairs must be evaluated before we can give a cost estimate, and we will always get your approval on the price before any work begins.

Most repair work is left with our jeweler, and we will contact you once it has been completed, polished and passed quality control. This generally takes up to 10 business days. Appointments may be made modification or polishing of one engagement ring or wedding band; additional items must be dropped off. Learn more about jewelry repair.

Yes. We offer insurance appraisals by appointment. To book one, schedule an appointment or call 516-747-6666. The cost depends on the number and size of the items being appraised.

Yes. Bring in your old or unworn jewelry and we will advise you on how to reinvent it into something you will love to wear.

Yes. We buy loose diamonds, engagement rings, diamond jewelry, gold and estate jewelry, certified or not. A GIA Graduate Gemologist evaluates your pieces and an owner makes the offer in person. Yes. We buy luxury watches outright or in trade, including Rolex, TUDOR, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Cartier, Omega, Vacheron Constantin, A. Lange & Söhne and other fine brands. Send us the details and photos for a preliminary range, then bring the watch to our Garden City showroom (or use insured shipping) for an in-person offer from an owner. We make every effort to keep our online inventory up to date and accurate. Although unlikely, an item's price can change because of fluctuating metal and diamond markets, or a pricing mistake can be made; in that case we reserve the right to modify the price of the sale, or void it if you do not wish to purchase at the new price. An item may also become unavailable before we remove it from the site, in which case we reserve the right to void the sale.

In some cases, because of the shape of the center diamond or the finger size chosen, a designer may charge a modification fee on a ring order. If that happens, we will let you know and get your approval before the ring goes into production.

Yes. Every purchase comes in a beautiful H.L. Gross & Bro. Jewelers box and can be gift-wrapped at no additional charge.

Yes. Gift certificates are available in any denomination and they are not redeemable for cash. Any purchase can include a gift receipt.

Yes, as long as the item can be engraved. We will be happy to send it out for engraving.
